Inspiration

I'm kind of infatuated with images of architectural plants (check out my "Flora" Pinterest board for proof.)  So, to me it makes total sense to design a room inspired solely by the leaves of this Rubber Plant.  At first glance I honestly couldn't tell if this was a photograph or painting.  After hunting down the original source I learned it is a gorgeous oil painting on linen by Oliver Osborne.

Vision

When I look at the painting above I envision a space with a minimal color palette, simple lines, black accents, and reflective surfaces, contrasted with natural materials.  All of which are represented beautifully in this stunning space photographed by Anne-Claire Rohé.

Get The Look

To achieve the simple Organic Glam feel that I get from the painting I kept the accessories to a minimum, and stuck to clean lines in a neutral color palette.  That chihuahua art print makes me smile every time I look at it!  It's a less serious take on the female portrait in my vision image.  What do you think?  Would you design a room in your home based around a plant (or a painting of a plant)?
