My Simple Morning Routine

I am a major creature of habit, but working from home and running my own business doesn’t allow for a lot of structure.  My responsibilities change from day to day so it’s hard to plan things out, which is why I like to start my day off with a solid morning routine.  Here is a peek into how I begin my day.

7:00AM

My alarm wakes me up and I go out to the kitchen to drink a glass of water and eat a hard boiled egg.  I like to eat a little something right when I wake up, otherwise I feel sick during my workout.  I then make myself a cup of coffee and read a couple chapters of a book, or watch some TV with Drew if he is up.

7:45AM

I am way more motivated to exercise in the morning so around this time I’ll do 45 minutes of plyometrics, strength training, or yoga.

8:30AM

After I workout I make a light breakfast of greek yogurt, blueberries, and slivered almonds, and eat while I check my email and write my to-do list for the day.

9:00AM

Drew leaves around this time so I have our tiny bathroom to myself to get ready.

Time to get to work!

It’s a pretty simple routine but I am not a morning person, so it works for me.  What does your morning routine look like?
