Last weekend on Valentine's Day Drew and I went hiking on Mount Tamalpais with a couple of friends, and as we slowly drove the winding roads up the mountain to the trailhead we were struck by this amazing view. Drew knows me far too well and was already preparing to pull over for a photo before I could even ask him to. I love how this one shot captures so much of what makes this area great: the vast expanse of redwoods covering the rolling hills, a sliver of the bay masked by early morning fog, and the distant San Francisco skyline. I never realized how beautiful the North Bay was until we moved here a couple years ago, and I don't think I will ever get tired of its ability to take my breath away.
